- Always, always, always make the first move. This tip is especially useful when paired with the next tip on our list...
- Be relentless. Stay on the offense, batter your opponent with attacks, and never let them off the defense. In doing this, not only will you effectively destroy their turrets, but you will also protect your own turrets by causing them to use all his or her energy on defense. Again, if you make the first move and keep up your assault to success, the game is just about yours.
- Don't let your attack be easily wiped out. Use different types of units in your attack so that it can't be easily wiped out with a single move.
- Don't overdo it. Many times have the tables turned because a player rushed in to destroy a turret. This is especially true in overtime, although you can get a little bit more aggressive when it come to overtime.
- Know when to die. Dying in Force Arena can have a strategic advantage, as you regain your health without wasting your health packs, among other smaller advantages. The trick, however, is knowing when to die. Dying when you have a push going strong on your opponent's turret or when they themselves are dead is infinitely better than dying on the defense when they are going strong destroying your tower. At the same time, it's not a good idea to die when your assault on the your enemy's turret is dwindling and he or she is looking to turn the tide. Learn when to die.
- Let your cards play the game. You'll find it's far more effective than running from one place to the next, attempting to squelch one threat after the next in a game of whack-a-mole.
- Melee leaders are far more aggressive than ranged leaders. They play poor defense, as they are often slow and they have to be at point-blank range to deal any damage. If you are playing a melee leader, get aggressive; just don't overdo it. If you are fighting a melee leader, hang back and shoot them where they can't reach you; for example, stay within range of your turret and shoot them while they're busy defending against your push. This is a great way to get kills.
- Push both sides. This will often cause your opponent to have to choose which side to defend. If your opponent is using this strategy: use the fourth tip on our list: let your cards play the game.
- Ranged leaders play great defense. When dealing with a push, try using your turret or your units as shields to defend against a push. This is most effective against melee leaders, as they have to walk through a danger zone to reach you.
- Spread your cards. If you have a lot of low-health units in one spot, they can be easily wiped out with a single air strike. Instead, place them in a wide circle so that they cannot easily be wiped out by an air strike of any type.
- Training mode isn't as useless as it seems. Set it to hard, let the AI play your deck, and observe. I've found that this is a very handy way to sharpen your skills. In fact, almost every single one of these tips comes from observing the AI when it is set to hard.
- Vary your strategy. Predictability is your enemy. At the same time, make sure your varied plan is still strategically sound.
- Watch your replays. Especially the losses. Analyze your past battles to see what you did wrong and what you did right. Replays aren't just for reliving the glory of your wins. Use them to watch what went wrong in your losses and what you did right in your wins.
- When it all comes down to overtime, the first thing you need to do is kill your opponent. If you do so, the game is far more likely to go in your favor.
In closing, remember that for every strategy there is an effective counterstrategy. Even if you use every tip on this list, there's no guarantee that you'll win.
